There are over 118 clinical EKGs in 9 clinical categories with the standard 12-lead version tracings and zoom enlargements of critical areas. In some cases, orthogonal XYZ leads are also included. A detailed interpretation is presented which includes the criteria and the rationale for the diagnosis.

This new version contains an EKG tutorial, a Student Assessment, a section on vectorcardiography and the ability to ZOOM or expand any lead in any EKG for greater detail. This new upgrade is a significant improvement.

The tracings are hyperlinked with 10 discussion topics which include: the specialized conduction system, A-V block, bundle branch block, chamber enlargement, loop rotation, the EKG in CVA, electrolytes, myocardial infraction, tachycardia, and ventricular pre-excitation. This CD-ROM will operate on Windows XP, VISTA, 3.1, Windows 95/98 or Windows NT.

The authors are Sherman M. Steinzeig, M.D., FACC, Marvin I. Dunn, M.D., FACC, David Wilson, M.D., FACC from the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases, and Tseng Kuo Shiao, M.D. from the department of Information Technology at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.
